Walker Armstrong

Walker Armstrong is a Senior Consultant with The Hayes Group International, specializing in leadership development, executive coaching, and organizational development. With over 30 years of experience across both non-profit and for- profit sectors, Walker’s career spans diverse roles and industries, including extensive work in leadership training, coaching, and consulting for senior leaders.

Walker began his career as an ordained minister, specializing in church planting and leadership development. He continues to help pastors sharpen their organizational and leadership skills. In 1999, Walker expanded his focus to the corporate world, joining BB&T as a leadership & development instructor, corporate coach, and organizational development consultant. During his five years with BB&T, he helped develop management programs, coached leaders, and designed training materials. In 2004, Walker founded Integrated Leadership Solutions, LLC, where he worked with major organizations like Chick- fil-A, AT&T, Georgia Power, and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to enhance leadership capabilities and build high-performing teams.

Since joining The Hayes Group in 2006, Walker has worked with a wide range of clients, including Quintiles, International Paper, Gulfstream, Reynolds American, and Volvo. His expertise has supported organizational transformations, leadership development initiatives, and executive coaching for key leaders across multiple industries.

Walker is the author of Missing Treasures, a book on church health, and has created two 360° assessment tools on Emotional Intelligence. He also developed a leadership competency model for the book Start with Humility, co-authored by Merwyn Hayes and Mike Comer.
