Shirley Dilsworth is a Senior Consultant with the Hayes Group International specializing in executive coaching, leadership development and helping organizations understand how to avoid and handle employment law issues. Shirley has more than 25 years of experience in a variety of progressively responsible positions including Manager Diversity, Assistant Director Diversity followed by Director, Employee Relations for CIGNA, Corporate Manager Diversity and Manager Human Resources for the Coca Cola company, Director, Human Resources for Behavioral Interventions, and Vice President, Human Resources for the Credit division of Nordstrom.
She has taught in MBA programs in Seattle University, Mercer University, and the Keller School.
Shirley enthusiastically helps managers and employees do the right things the right way. She is a member of the Pennsylvania bar, a certified SPHR, and certified to conduct DISC and Myers-Briggs team buildings. She has developed leadership development curricula, conducted scores of team building sessions, and trained hundreds of managers on how to manage their employees effectively in a legally defensible manner.
She has extensive experience in helping teams and leaders focus their message during times of change and adjustment across multiple industries with an impressive track record. From dealing with organizations both large and small, Shirley has coached managers in dealing with transitions and change that happen when new teams come together and mission objectives change. She has the ability to work with managers of all levels and facilitate constructive communication, leading to increased productivity and greater employee engagement and satisfaction.
She has a BA from The Johns Hopkins University, a JD from American University, and an LLM in Labor law from Georgetown University.
